The purpose of the First Baptist Church of Dearborn, Michigan is:

• To proclaim God as the Lord of all life and to become new persons through Jesus Christ
   
• To be committed to Christ and therefore to one another.
   
• To glorify God by our common worship and serve as the Body of Christ in the world.
   
• To maintain a framework which encourages us to learn to love, accept and support one another, and enables us through the Holy Spirit to transmit the very life of Christ to others.
   
• To be a voice in helping our people define their personal and community life as revealed through Biblical study.
